Détective privé de Los Angeles spécialisé dans le rapt et les disparitions d'enfants, Chandler Jarrell est contacté par une secte tibétaine pour retrouver l'enfant sacré qui a été enlevé par les sbires sataniques de Sardo Mumpsa. Il a d'abord du mal à croire la jolie Kee Nang, mais il se laisse convaincre et, après avoir été initié par la mystérieuse Kala et l'honorable Docteur Hong, il se lance dans une quête particulièrement dangereuse
