A la fin du XIXe siècle , dans le Montana... Une bande s'installe dans une ferme voisine et Logan, sous le couvert d'un honnête fermier, prépare sa vengeance. Il entretient même une liaison avec la fille de Braxton. Soucieux de démasquer les voleurs de chevaux, le riche propriétaire engage un tueur professionnel, Lee Clayton, pour nettoyer le territoire. Averti de ce danger, Tom Logan et sa bande poursuivent néanmoins leurs fructeuses activités. Mais pour donner le change, ils achètent un ranch à côté de celui de Braxton
