The BBC's flagship documentary series is the longest-running consumer and political affairs programme of its kind, with journalists and researchers delving into heavyweight topics from the worlds of finance, healthcare, criminal justice and the environment. The series has won a host of media industry awards for its fearless undercover investigations, as well as its hard-hitting interviews with politicians and business leaders. Panorama's reporters cover both national and international affairs, focusing on scandals and events which can impact on the ordinary consumer, taxpayer and voter. A wide range of subjects fall within the programme's remit, from the ethics of medical research and big-pharma to the funding of sports, the arts and the travel business. A Panorama investigation can make or break reputations, trigger police and audit inquiries, and pile pressure on governments at home and abroad.
