Sur le SGC, Orlin, un Ancien, prend la forme humaine d'un enfant pour aider Sam Carter à fabriquer un antidote. Il révèle l'histoire des Orii, autrefois amis des Altérans et leur supercherie divinatoire visant à exterminer la race des Anciens. Pendant ce temps, Teal'c constate la soumission de Gerak et sa volonté de convertir tout le peuple Jaffa aux dieux Orii
