Vavasour, l'autre directeur pense que son confrère a été victime d'une tentative de meurtre. Shaw doit partir sur le «Queen Mary» avec une malle remplie de bons «Liberty» d'une valeur de un million de dollars. Vavasour a pleine confiance envers M. Shaw.
