Un accrochage entre deux voitures se produit sur un parking. L'un des deux conducteurs est retrouvé mort, une balle dans la poitrine. L'incident était en fait un guet-apens tendu à la victime, un diamantaire transportant deux millions de dollars de marchandise. Pendant qu'Horatio et Calleigh enquêtent sur cette affaire, Tim et Eric sont sur les traces d'un cadavre qui a mystérieusement disparu alors qu'il était en route vers le laboratoire de la police scientifique
