L'équipe du SG-1 visite Edora, une planète habitée par les descendants d'une peuplade amenée par les Goa'uld il y a plusieurs milliers d'années. Les chutes de météorites y sont fréquentes. Lorsque la planète passera une nouvelle fois au travers de millions de cailloux, certains débris frapperont l'atmosphère d'Edora comme une pluie de feu. De retour au SG-C, Carter informe le commandant Hammond de la situation critique d'Edora
