Dans un bar enfumé de Bangkok, un homme vend à Hawke, pour une forte somme, des photos d'un camp de prisonniers au Laos où Hawke croit entrevoir Saint-John, son frère disparu. Hawke survole le site à bord de Supercopter, puis essaie de pénétrer dans le camp avec deux vétérans du Vietnam, et Santini. Mais il n'y a plus personne
