Au retour d'une mission, Supercopter est en triste état et nécessite d'importantes réparations. Hawke et Santini, de leur côté, reçoivent la visite d'une délégation d'hommes d'affaires tirés à quatre épingles : ils sont prêts à louer, à prix d'or, des appareils à la Santini Air, pour le compte d'un riche industriel.
