Le yacht de la famille Gannon prend feu. Alors que Julie, la fille, saute par-dessus bord, les requins se jettent sur elle. Son frère Luke plonge à son tour et disparaît. Mais lors des recherches, c'est le corps de Damon, un jeune étudiant, qui est repêché. Il gardait la maison d'une autre famille appartenant au même Yacht club que les Gannon, les Elias. Ces derniers viennent justement de se faire voler 10 millions de dollars
