Mais cette année, le concours est perturbé par le meurtre d'Elaine Curtis, âgée d'une vingtaine d'années. La jeune femme a été trouvée morte dans une tente de la Croix-Rouge, une aiguille à tricoter plantée dans le coeur. Par ailleurs, Stella et Danny recherchent le meurtrier d'un cycliste, découvert poignardé au bord de la route
